Practical Session 2/3 Update - France

We appreciate how much the cancellation of our exams has affected learners and we are working hard on solutions to ensure learners can gain their qualifications at the earliest opportunity.

However, on the basis of official and local advice we are cancelling the postponed Session 2 & Session 3 Practical exams scheduled for November - December. We are very sorry for the impact on teachers and candidates and we will continue to monitor the situation. Thank you for your loyalty and support while these restrictions remain in place.

We will be gradually rolling out remotely-assessed Performance Grades internationally and will share exam dates and booking periods soon.

When music speaks louder than words

In a direct response to the deep injustices that have been dividing our world and the global pandemic that has affected communities of colour in a disturbingly disproportionate manner, Sphinx Organization presents Elegy: In Memoriam - Stephen Lawrence, performed by the Sphinx Virtuosi ensemble.

Elegy was written in 1999 by Black British composer Philip Herbert in response to the tragic murder of Stephen Lawrence, a black British teenager from Plumstead, South East London. He was murdered in a racially motivated attack while waiting for the bus. After a lengthy, arduous process, two of the perpetrators were convicted of murder in 2012. The occasion has been recorded as one of the most important moments in Britain’s history of criminal justice and one of the highest-profile unsolved racially motivated murders.
